Charles Lazarus

A creative force of the Jamaican house scene, Charles Lazarus is one of those who made the genre last on the island. Where others opened the road, he built on it: parties, collaborations and sets that draw as much on Chicago and New York house as on Kingston's sound system heritage. His signature is a warm, uncompromising groove designed to move crowds who did not grow up with house music yet recognise it instantly in his hands. A key player of the Jamaican House Movement, at We Love House he embodies the continuity between the pioneers of the 90s and the new generation of Jamaican clubbers.
